Sometimes our greatest loves aren’t people at all, they’re pets!
Luna was 9 weeks old when I met her, we drove to Missouri and paid someone 10 bucks for her, as advertised on craigslist. She was covered in fleas and grime, so tiny, she had been living among many dogs and cats that used the floor as a potty.
My husband brought her to me as I sat in the car anxiously waiting to meet her. He handed her to me through the window and I wrapped her up in a small blanket on my lap, holding her tight so she knew she was safe, she purred as if she knew she was ours. When we got her home she was treated for the fleas, worms and bathed. She didnt know how to use the litterbox but box trained quickly and now has no bad habits at all.
She is absolutely beautiful, so soft and loving. When I pet her I’m filled with warm and fuzzy feelings and can’t help but smile ear to ear. I adore her and she loves each of us, especially our five year old whom she curls up with every single night (after my snuggles of course). The intense joy that I feel with her is priceless and now I cant imagine how we ever lived without her. I’m truly grateful everyday for Luna, a love I’m sure that was meant to be.
